Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Stand upright holding a light resistance band with both hands about shoulder-width apart and your palms facing each other.
  2. 02Create gentle outward tension in the band, keep your elbows softly extended, and brace your trunk.
  3. 03Maintaining the outward pull, raise both arms forward and overhead through your available shoulder-flexion range.
  4. 04Keep your thumbs turning slightly outward, your shoulders away from your ears, and your ribs from flaring.
  5. 05Lower your arms under control while maintaining band tension and stop if the movement causes shoulder pain.
