How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Sit with one leg extended on the floor and loop a light resistance band around the inside edge of that forefoot.
  2. 02Hold the band so it guides the foot gently upward and outward while the shin remains still.
  3. 03Move the ankle into dorsiflexion and slight eversion until you feel a mild stretch along the inner lower leg or arch.
  4. 04Keep the knee and hip still and stop for sharp pain, tingling, cramping, or pain behind the medial ankle.
  5. 05Hold for the prescribed time, reduce the band tension slowly, and repeat with the other foot.
