Step-by-step instructions
- 01With adequate shoulder mobility, rest the bar across your upper traps, take a wide snatch grip, and stand with your feet beneath your hips.
- 02Brace your trunk and dip vertically while keeping your chest upright and the bar balanced over your midfoot.
- 03Drive forcefully through your legs to accelerate the bar upward from behind your neck.
- 04Re-bend your knees and lock your elbows to receive the bar overhead in a shallow squat with active shoulders.
- 05Stand fully and stabilize before lowering the bar carefully to your traps or a rack; stop if the position causes shoulder pain.
