How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Sit in a 90/90 position with both knees bent to approximately 90 degrees, one leg in front and the other to the side behind you.
  2. 02Sit upright and use your hands on the floor only as much as needed to keep your pelvis steady.
  3. 03Keep the ball of the back foot in contact with the floor, lift the back heel, and raise the back knee through the available range to externally rotate that hip.
  4. 04Keep your trunk tall and pelvis still; do not twist through your lower back or force the knee away from the floor.
  5. 05Lower the back knee and heel under control, complete the prescribed repetitions, and then switch the leg position.
