How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Sit in a 90/90 position with the front hip externally rotated and both knees bent to approximately 90 degrees.
  2. 02Sit evenly on both sides of your pelvis and turn your chest toward the front shin without forcing the position.
  3. 03Maintain a long spine and hinge forward from the hips until you feel a comfortable stretch in the outer hip or glute of the front leg.
  4. 04Relax into the stretch while breathing steadily, but do not push the front knee or ankle into the floor.
  5. 05Hold for the prescribed time, return upright slowly, and switch the position of your legs to stretch the other side.
