How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Sit in a 90/90 position with one leg in front and the other folded to the side behind you, both knees bent to approximately 90 degrees.
  2. 02Sit upright with your weight distributed through both sides of your pelvis; use your hands for support if needed.
  3. 03Keeping the back knee in contact with the floor, gently rotate your pelvis and torso toward the back leg until you feel a comfortable stretch deep in that hip.
  4. 04Keep your spine long and the back ankle relaxed, and do not force the knee or twist through your lower back to increase the range.
  5. 05Hold for the prescribed time while breathing normally, then return to neutral and switch the position of your legs.
