How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Anchor a heavy resistance band securely behind you, loop it around your waist or hips, and walk forward until it is taut.
  2. 02Face away from the anchor, lean slightly forward from your ankles, and brace your trunk with your arms ready to run.
  3. 03Run in place against the band with quick forefoot contacts, driving opposite arms and knees in rhythm.
  4. 04Keep your pelvis stable and direct force backward into the floor rather than bouncing excessively upward.
  5. 05Reduce your cadence gradually, come to a complete stop, and then walk backward carefully to remove the band tension.
