How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Stand with your front foot fully supported on a low, stable platform and secure the bar across your upper back.
  2. 02Brace your trunk, then step the other foot backward into a reverse-lunge stance while keeping the elevated foot planted.
  3. 03Bend both knees to lower under control, allowing the rear knee to travel toward the floor as the elevated front leg moves through the added range.
  4. 04Keep your pelvis facing forward, your front heel down, and your front knee aligned with its toes.
  5. 05Drive through the elevated front foot to step forward and return to standing, then repeat on the other side.
