How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Stand with the bar on your upper traps and grip it slightly wider than shoulder width as mobility allows.
  2. 02Brace your trunk, keep your ribs down, and use only a comfortable, pain-free shoulder range.
  3. 03Press the bar vertically overhead from behind your neck without using leg drive.
  4. 04Finish with straight elbows and the bar balanced over the middle of your feet.
  5. 05Lower the bar carefully to your upper traps and stop if your shoulders or neck become uncomfortable.
