How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Press a weight plate overhead with both hands, straighten the elbows, and set the shoulders actively beneath the load.
  2. 02Brace the trunk and step forward into a stable lunge without letting the plate drift in front of the head.
  3. 03Lower until the rear knee approaches the floor while the front foot remains flat and the torso stays tall.
  4. 04Drive through the front foot and bring the rear leg forward into the next step.
  5. 05Continue alternating legs with the plate centered overhead, stopping if shoulder or trunk position deteriorates.
