How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Lie face up on a bench with the shoulders supported and the head just beyond the edge, using only a very light plate secured on the forehead if prescribed.
  2. 02Begin with the neck neutral, the jaw relaxed, and the chin slightly tucked.
  3. 03Flex the neck slowly to bring the chin toward the upper chest through a small, comfortable range.
  4. 04Pause briefly without lifting the shoulders or forcing the head forward, and stop for sharp pain, dizziness, or tingling.
  5. 05Lower the head back to neutral under full control and repeat cautiously.
