How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Hold a dumbbell in each hand and stand with one foot fully supported on a low, stable platform.
  2. 02Keeping the elevated foot planted, step the other leg backward and place the ball of that foot on the floor.
  3. 03Bend both knees to lower into a reverse lunge, using the increased range only while your front knee stays aligned with your toes and your torso remains upright.
  4. 04Drive through the elevated front foot to return to standing without pushing excessively from the rear foot.
  5. 05Regain your balance, then change which foot is elevated and repeat on the other side as programmed.
