How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Position the safety squat bar securely across your upper back, hold its handles, and stand with your feet about hip-width apart.
  2. 02Brace your trunk and step one leg backward, placing the ball of that foot on the floor.
  3. 03Lower until both knees are comfortably bent and the rear knee approaches the floor, keeping the front foot planted and knee aligned with its toes.
  4. 04Drive through the front foot to return to standing without allowing the bar or pelvis to tilt.
  5. 05Regain your balance, then step back with the opposite leg and continue alternating sides.
