Step-by-step instructions
- 01Step into the car-deadlift frame, center your feet beneath your hips, and take an even, secure grip on both handles.
- 02Set your hips at the height that lets you create leg drive, brace hard, and pull the slack from the frame before lifting.
- 03Push the ground away and extend your knees and hips together while keeping your chest up and arms straight.
- 04Reach the event-standard lockout with your knees and hips fully extended without excessive backward lean or hitching unless permitted.
- 05Wait for the down signal when applicable, then guide the frame back to the stops under control and reset your grip.
