How to perform it
Step-by-step instructions
- 01Lie on a bench and hold one dumbbell horizontally above your chest by pressing both palms firmly into its inner plates.
- 02Set your upper arms so they remain roughly perpendicular to your torso and keep your elbows bent in the prescribed 90-degree position.
- 03Maintain the crush grip as you bend your elbows and lower the dumbbell toward your forehead or just behind your head.
- 04Stop at a comfortable depth without letting your elbows flare or your shoulders roll forward.
- 05Extend your elbows to return the dumbbell above your chest while keeping constant inward pressure on the plates.
