How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Hold the dumbbells at your shoulders in a front rack and place the working foot on a low stable platform.
  2. 02Step the other foot back into a balanced split stance, keep your elbows lifted, and brace your trunk.
  3. 03Lower straight down by bending both knees, allowing the elevated front leg to move through a deeper range.
  4. 04Reach the deepest controlled position with the front heel grounded and your torso upright.
  5. 05Drive through the front foot to rise to the top, then repeat before changing legs.
