How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Assume a forearm plank with the elbows beneath the shoulders and the body straight from head to heels.
  2. 02Brace the abdominals and glutes and press the forearms firmly into the floor.
  3. 03Shift the whole body backward by pushing through the toes while keeping the hips at the same height.
  4. 04Pull the body forward until the shoulders move slightly past the elbows without losing spinal control.
  5. 05Continue with short smooth repetitions, keeping the movement at the shoulders and ankles rather than the lower back.
