How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Set an incline bench inside a rack, set the safeties, lie back with both feet planted, and take a wide but comfortable supinated grip.
  2. 02Unrack with help when needed, keep the wrists stacked, shoulder blades set, and elbows angled below the wrists rather than flared straight out.
  3. 03Lower the bar under control toward the upper chest through a pain-free shoulder and wrist range.
  4. 04Pause without bouncing, then press the bar up and slightly back while maintaining the reverse grip and even bar position.
  5. 05Finish with controlled elbow extension, reset the shoulder blades, and rack the bar safely at the end of the set.
