How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Place a bench centrally in a power rack, set the safeties, and attach matched bands securely above both bar ends so they hang vertically.\n2. Load the bar only after confirming equal band tension and a secure overhead anchor, then lie with the upper back set and feet planted.\n3. Unrack with a spotter, stabilize over the shoulders, and lower under control to the planned touch point.\n4. Keep the wrists stacked and press back toward the rack as band assistance decreases through the range.\n5. Lock out under control and rack the bar before changing plates, bands, or anchor height.
