How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Attach the sled to a belt or handles and face away from it with the straps taut.
  2. 02Lean slightly forward from the ankles, brace the trunk, and keep the hips aligned with the direction of travel.
  3. 03Drive through the ground with strong, deliberate steps to pull the sled forward.
  4. 04Keep constant tension on the attachment and avoid overstriding or letting the sled stop between steps.
  5. 05Continue for the assigned distance, then decelerate gradually before releasing the tension.
