How to perform it
Step-by-step instructions
- 01Place both feet or knees on a stable box and set the hands shoulder-width apart on the floor.
- 02Walk the hands toward the box until the hips stack above the shoulders as closely as your mobility permits.
- 03Lock the elbows and push the floor away to keep the shoulder blades elevated.
- 04Hold the inverted pike with the ribs controlled, head neutral, and weight distributed evenly through both hands.
- 05Walk the hands away from the box and step down carefully when the hold ends or shoulder control fades.
