How to perform it

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 01Hold the bar with a shoulder-width underhand grip, soften the knees, and hinge until the torso is near horizontal while the back stays braced.
  2. 02Let the arms extend with the bar close to the legs and keep the neck neutral.
  3. 03Pull the bar toward the abdomen by driving the elbows back without standing up.
  4. 04Finish with the shoulder blades moving together naturally while the wrists remain neutral.
  5. 05Lower to full elbow extension under control and maintain the same hinge for every rep.
